Well, this weekend was a success and an adventure. We spent all of Friday afternoon shopping for the things we needed for the trip. Then Friday night I went out to dinner with Matt, Mike, Josh, Kailee, Austin and Kristin. We went to olive garden and it was quite delicious. After dinner I hung out with Kristin for a bit, and then Matt came over and watched some movies with me until I went to sleep.
Saturday was take off day. So we spent the morning getting ready, getting the last couple things together and then packing the car. We finally had everyone (Mike, Alisha, Sarah, Kristin and I) in the car and leaving Cheney at one that afternoon. We made the first four hours of the trip successfully, but then we proceeded to get completely and totally lost. So we drove in circles for 45 minutes, then stopped and got directions, and finally made it to camp. We got there and I got a drink as soon as I was out of the car. Then they set up the tents and we moved our stuff from the car. Then we were all just hanging out and having a good time. So by this time I was pretty buzzed and I ended up in Alex’s lap and then we went to his tent, and while we were in there all the guys came and surrounded the tent and sang to us. So then after that we all continued to hang out and drink more. I can’t really remember all the details from the rest of the night, but at the end of the night I ended up sleeping in Alex’s tent on the cold, hard ground in half a sleeping bag.
Sunday morning came quickly, and I snuck out of the tent and ran over to my tent. I crawled into bed with Sarah who scolded me a lot. But then we got up and sat around the campfire with the people who were awake. We spent most of the morning just hanging out and recounting the night before. Got to find out that Alex had blacked out and didn’t remember anything from the night before. So that was interesting. Then Kristin, Sarah, Alisha and I took a nap for an hour, and after that we went on a trip to the grocery store. After we got back from the store, I started drinking and I was gone so quickly. I was dancing on tables, sitting on everyone’s laps, flirting obnoxiously with people, spilling my drink all over myself and having a damn good time. Once again, I only remember the bigger details and not much after that. But eventually I was trying to sit on Alex’s lap again apparently, and my friends put me into my tent. But I was only in there for like five minutes because I decided that I wasn’t tired. I ended up puking and angrily returning to my tent. And then like 45 minutes later I woke up having to go to the bathroom and I yelled at Mike because I couldn’t find a flashlight. And then I went to sleep for the night.
Monday morning I woke up still a little out of it, and sat by the fire in a blanket cause I was so cold. After we all woke up and started moving, we took down the tents and started packing up the car. We left around 10:30 and drove back to Cheney. We made it back in like four hours and then we all went our seperate ways.
So I’ve spent the last couple days recouping and looking through pictures and hearing about the stories that I don’t remember. But overall, it was a fantastic weekend of camping with our lovely Pi Lam boys :)

the things my friends post on my wall because of my grammar nazi ways.
I have to write some english papers and then maybe if i don’t fall asleep, i’ll tell you all the thrilling story about camping in montana with the pi lam fraternity.
birthday dinner! :)
And now to talk about my wonderful 19th birthday :)
So yesterday was my birthday, and it was quite a great day overall. Well, to start off, on Saturday I got a bunch of birthday cards and a package from my Nana and my aunts that had a box of cake mix, frosting, candles, and a bag of cookies in it. And they gave me some American eagle giftcards as well. So that was a good early start to my birthday. And then I woke up yesterday morning to some lovely texts from my mom and dad :) Obviously, I still had to go to class, so that was the worst part of the day. Anyways, after class I got to make my cake with Alisha, Sarah and Kristin, but Kristin was pissy cause we hadn’t originally invited her, not on purpose we just hadn’t really thought about it, and then we asked her if she had an egg we could use cause we only had two and we needed three, so she got mad that we only invited her because we needed something from her. But that blew over and we happily made a cake and hung out til we left to go to Red Robin’s for dinner. Dinner was great, and of course they got them to sing to me, but I got a free ice cream sundae. And then when I gave them my Red Robin’s reward card and they ran it, it was my tenth item on the card so my food was free and all I had to pay for was my drink. After dinner we headed back to Alisha’s room so we could frost the cake and put the candles on it. And Kelton came over and joined us as well. So they sang to me, and then we opened presents and Matt came over and hung out with us for a while. So we ate cake and hung out in Alisha’s room til like 10:00 or so. Then Matt helped me carry stuff back to my room, and we went and talked to Sarah for like an hour or so. Then it was time for bed. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my birthday, or better people to be around.
On a side note, Matt decided to drop from pledging for Pi Lam, so now I am trying to find someone else who can take me as their “date” or else I can’t go camping for the weekend and that would really suck since everyone else is going. So that’s what I’m trying to figure out now.
my weekend.
So my last post regarding stuff I actually did was about the Lip Sync on thursday night, leaving me to start my story with Friday afternoon.
So the lovely boys of Pi Lambda Phi fraternity played football friday afternoon for Greek Week, so Alisha went to watch them and be there for moral support (since we all know our boys aren’t really that athletically inclined). They played their two games and they were out, so of course, being that it was nearly six o’clock, it was time to find some food. So they all decided that we should go eat at Rokko’s, which is this teriyaki place in downtown Cheney. So I had Alisha text Kristin and tell her that, since we were supposed to let her know about dinner plans. So we told her that we were going, and then Alisha and I got a ride with PJ and we all met back up at the restaurant. We were all sitting there talking and eating our food, while Kristin was texting Alisha because she was pissed that we didn’t give her enough forewarning about dinner and all this stuff, when we told her as soon as we knew that we were going. But she was still pissed off at us. So after dinner we went back to the house with the guys cause they were going to work on their box car for the box car races the next day. We ended up just hanging out with them all night, eventually going to get pizza, and then staying at the house until like 12:30.
So Saturday, once Alisha, Kristin and I had eaten breakfast, we headed down to Greek Row to watch the box car races. All the guys were there, and they had finished the box car, but we were all a little concerned that Nik was going to end up killing himself since the car didn’t really look all that safe. Once they were getting ready to start time trials the rest of us moved down the hill a bit to find a spot to watch the races. They did a couple time trials, and then one of the sororities was doing a time trial and the girl swerved, hit the curb, went over it, took out a girl, and 911 had to be called. So for like a good 45 minutes they worked on getting the girl out of the car and making sure that she was alright. She ended up being able to walk away from it, but they had to cancel the rest of the races, so that kind of sucked. Then they announced all the placings of the fraternities and sororities for Greek Week, and the Pi Lams got 4th overall, and 2nd in Lip Sync and Box Car (based on their time trial). So by that time Kristin had left and gone to a family reunion, so Alisha and I made the trek back to campus to get smoothies, walked to her room to get her rugby jacket, walked to the rugby field to turn in her jacket, then walked back to my room to get my car keys so that we could get my car. Then we went to the grocery store and got brownie mix, and headed to the house. We hung out at the house for a while, and Alisha and I ended up making the brownies at the house. After that we all went out to dinner in Spokane at this place that had really good wings. Then we came back to Cheney and Alisha and I went back to the dorms to get ready for the night.
I went over to Kristin’s around 9 so that we could go get sodas to mix our drinks, and as we were driving there she went off on me about how inconsiderate Alisha and I are when we just don’t tell her all the details about things and leave her out of stuff. So I just had to sit there in the car and listen to her pretty much yell at me, so that was exciting. Then we got back to her dorm and Alisha came and hung out with us while we waited for Matt and Mike so that we could go out. We made quite the trek to this party that was literally on the other side of Cheney, and it was a pretty awesome party. It was like an all Greek party since Greek Week had just ended, and there were tons of people we knew there. Well, we were only there for an hour and twenty minutes, but it was great. I spent a lot of time talking to people (as always), met some new people, took some pictures, almost got to give my number to some guy because I was determined that I was going to walk up to him and say “hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number, so call me maybe,” but that never happened. Then I talked to a girl for ten minutes about how I was possibly going to rush in the fall. And then the cops showed up because there was a noise complaint. So I went inside and I didn’t know where any of my friends had gone. I ended up standing in the corner with Cisco, because he was the only person that I knew and I was scared. Then I found Matt, and we managed to get out the back door and leave. So we walked all the way back across town to the Pi Lam house. Once we got there, I got myself something else to drink and just talked to some people, cuddled with Brandt on the couch, and then Matt walked me back because I was super tired.
The next morning we all went to Tawanka and rehashed our stories like we always do, and I got to find out that Kristin had blacked out and Alisha managed to get herself stuck on a stripper pole. So there was much laughter and we recounted all of our individual adventures and pieced them together to figure out the whole night. Overall, it was a pretty great weekend. :)
I will take the next however long it takes to talk about my weekend, as well as my birthday. Stay posted (since I know you all avidly read my text posts!) haha.
The Pi Lam’s lip sync was beyond hilarious. I was crying because I laughed so hard. And of course, all the other fraternities and sororities that participated were pretty awesome as well. Makes me consider rushing in the fall even more. We’ll see :)
Until I got pick up Patrick from the airport. I’m excited to see him :)

It’s been a gorgeous 80 something degree day today, and I’m loving it :) We’re gonna go watch our boys play some soccer soon, so that should be fun. Gotta enjoy the weather while it lasts!
As an update to the Kristin situation, we talked last night and she told me that’s she not really “mad-mad” at me, just frustrated that I would do what I did. But really, it’s my life, and I can do what I want, and she doesn’t have the right to tell me that she’s disappointed in me because of the choice I made. And right after we talked about that, she proceeded to say “okay, well I’ll ttyl, I’m going to Mike’s.” Mike is our other good guy friend, who she makes out with occasionally, who she watched movies with and cuddles with. But no one is telling her how disappointed they are in her for doing that with Mike. AND IT’S THE SAME THING I DID WITH MATT. GAH. That is my rant.
Have a fabulous afternoon! :)
